Dragonball Z Episode 1: Gohan - Goku's Son
(original, Japanese episode)
It has been five years since Goku stopped Piccolo from taking over the Earth and peace has returned, but for how long? A spaceship is then shown heading directly for Earth. Then we see Goku, who is now grown up and married to Chi-Chi. His strength is still amazing, as he demonstrates by knocking down a tree with one punch and carrying it back to his home. Chi-Chi is calling for their son, Gohan. The next scene shows a man�s farm and the space pod crashing into the Earth. The farmer investigates the crash and is approached by a strange warrior who emerges from the pod. The alien begins to complain about why the humans have not been destroyed and then approaches the farmer. He reads the man�s power level with a device that is attached to his ear. Out of fear, the man tries to shoot the alien, but he catches the bullet and fires it back with a flick of his thumb, which hits the farmer and sends him flying into his truck. He then flies off toward a strong power level in the distance. Next we meet Gohan who appears to be lost in the forest. Many crazy things happen to him as he is attacked by a saber tooth, falls off a cliff, swept away by a river, and almost goes over a waterfall. Goku rescues him and they head out for Master Roshi�s place aboard the yellow cloud (Nimbus in the English versions). In the mean time, Piccolo (Goku�s nemesis from Dragonball) is paid a visit from the mysterious warrior. Piccolo tries an energy blast on him, but it has no effect whatsoever. Just as the warrior was about to counterattack, he picks up a reading of a stronger force and says that it must be Kakarotto and flies off. Piccolo falls down in terror. Who is this warrior from another world and who is Kakarotto?
Dragonball Z Episode 2: The Strongest Warrior in History - Goku's Brother

The mysterious warrior is still searching for Kakarotto. In the mean time, Bulma has arrived at Roshi�s place and reunites with Roshi and Krillin. Roshi is still a pervert and asks to fondle her breasts, and he receives a right hand from Bulma in response. She also reveals that she is dating Yamcha but they are fighting. Goku arrives next and shocks everyone by introducing his son, Gohan. The reunion does not last long as the mysterious warrior arrives on Roshi�s island! He immediately begins questioning Goku (calling him Kakarotto) about why the humans are still on the Earth. Goku has no clue what he�s talking about. The warrior then finally reveals himself as Raditz, Goku�s brother. We then learn a little history about the Saiya-jin race, their love of fighting, the destruction of their planet Vegeta with only four Saiya-jins remaining, and that they get paid to rid a planet of its inhabitants so the planet can be sold. Raditz explains that Goku was sent to Earth as a baby to clear the land. Roshi then tells Goku that Goku�s Grandpa, Gohan, found him in a pod as a baby and tried to care for him, but Goku was wild and uncontrollable. There was an accident and Goku fell into a rivine, hitting his head on a rock. His grandfather nursed him back to health and Goku became a loving grandson. Krillin thinks Raditz is a little crazy and approaches him only to get whacked by Raditz�s tail, knocking him into the wall of Roshi�s house. Goku tries to stand up for Krillin but takes a knee to the gut from Raditz. Raditz says that if Goku will not rejoin the Saiya-jins, then he will kill Gohan. Goku must kill 100 humans by the next day or Gohan dies.
Dragonball Z Episode 3: The Strongest Combination on Earth
(original, Japanese episode)
Raditz once again tells Goku that he must kill 100 humans in 24 hours or else he will kill Gohan. He then flies off with Gohan under his arm. Goku is really upset as the others try to calm him down. He yells for Kinto cloud so he can track down Raditz but is stopped by Roshi and Krillin. They tell him that he really does not have a chance against Raditz, but offer to help out in the fight. Goku doesn�t want them to at first because they have already died once and the dragonballs brought them back to life (you can�t wish for the same thing twice). They offer to help anyway and are about to depart when Piccolo arrives and tells them they don�t stand a chance. He tells Goku that they are still enemies, but he wants a piece of Raditz as well after their confrontation earlier. He also says that after they take care of Raditz, he wants to fight Goku. Goku agrees and together they fly off, using Bulma�s dragon radar to locate Gohan (he has a dragonball on his hat). Raditz has taken Gohan back to his spacepod and locks him inside since he won�t stop crying. Raditz starts to walk away when his scouter picks up a reading of 710. Startled, he scouts the area to find this power, only to find out it is Gohan. He figures it is an error and disregards it. Back in the air, Piccolo tells Goku that Raditz should know they are coming due to his scouter so they decide to fight Raditz head on. Raditz finishes eating a snack and turns on his scouter. He picks up the same reading of 710 for Gohan and then two other power levels flying toward him. He recognizes one of the powers as Goku but thinks the scouter is still broken (he believes Goku would be smart enough not to challenge him). Low and behold, Piccolo and Goku arrive. Can this mean that Gohan really is that powerful? Piccolo and Goku remove their weighted clothing and their power levels increase (Piccolo � 408, Goku � 416). Within a blink of an eye, Raditz darts forward and elbows both Goku and Piccolo in the back. The two are amazed at Raditz�s speed. Raditz reveals that the other two Saiya-jins are stronger than him, and Goku and Piccolo could never defeat them. This begins the battle of Earth�s strongest combination against Raditz.

Bulma and the Monkey King!
A young boy travels along a spherical log, he waves to his monkey friends, knowing that today will be yet another peaceful day. At home, he crouches in his fighting stance, then yells out his attack on the log, and throws it in the air! The young warrior goes airborne with it, and kicks it into many pieces. He picks up the wood, and goes home. At home, he prays to his grandpa, telling him that he will go get food now. Elsewhere, a young girl is searching around trees, wondering about something. She clicks on a radar, confessing to herself that the ball has got to be around her somewhere. She goes in her car, and drives off. The young boy walks around, wondering where he can find something to eat. He finds a waterfall, knowing he wants fish now. He jumps down and takes off his clothes. He then sticks his tail in the water, making fish mistake it as a worm. A huge fish then comes by and takes the bait, but the young boy saw it in time, and when the fish jumped out of the water, he kicked it to death! He then drags it on his way home, when he hears a big noise behind him.
